Jackson Avenue-- this photo was taken from my car window when I saw the beautiful sunset in the background of this interesting scene. My favorite part of this photo is the colors. I love how the warm colors of the sunset fit with the colors of the gas station sign, and how the green of the street sign is a direct contrast. Now, there is a lot going on in this picture, but I think this adds to the kind of crazy, colorful vibe.
Life of the City-- This photo was taken on a trip to Chicago. With this image, I made everything in black and white except for the buses. This is meant to make the buses stand out, and seem like the light and color of the windy city. I upped the saturation on the bus lights, because I love the cyber/bright colors on the inside.
Yellow + Blue-- This pictured turned out as a complete surprise to me. I had no idea how I was going to edit it, but when I started some trial and error I found this interesting aesthetic that I think really suits this picture. I think this also has a hidden meaning. The two main colors in this picture are yellow and blue, which are the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The war going on between Russia and Ukraine I take very seriously because I have personal connects there. The colors, with the American flag in the background, I hope show that Americans have to support and stand with Ukraine.
The Last Sunset-- This is a two in one candid/landscape photo. I love this one because it combines some of my favorite forms of photography. This piece is called "The Last Sunset" because the sun is shining bright red. Of course, this could be interpreted differently through each viewer. I also enjoy a good silhouette in a photo, and this photo contains one of my best friend. All in all, I think the landscape, editing, and silhouette are beautiful.
Light up the Dark-- This is also a photo taken in Chicago. The first thing that hit me in this photo, were all of the beautiful lights in the city. I edited this photo specifically to bring out all of the lights and colors. I also think I had great timing with the train coming my way, which creates a leading line to the foreground. From these photos you can probably tell, if there's one thing I love, it's color!
